I was reading over on MSN about the Arctic ice potentially disappearing during the summer by the year 2040. Pretty depressing thought.
You just have to think about how this will impact the wildlife in that area. I don’t know what an ice-free summer will do to polar bears and their ability to hunt, but it can’t be good.
Of course, the 2040 estimate is one of the most grim, and estimates of when arctic summers will actually be ice-free range as far as 2105. Can’t say that any of them make it any better.
These kinds of environmental changes are a big part of why I want to do better for the environment myself. There’s a lot government can do, but plenty of work for individuals to do to cut back on emissions and improve our planet’s health.
